The app ACE uses to post to Facebook is called ‘Your Home Update’ and is found in the Business Integrations area of a Facebook account. The steps below can use be used to check or fix any settings if a user manually changed settings during the connection process. Reconnecting ACE should also fix the app settings but if it does not use these steps.
- Log in to FB and click my encircled picture at the top right.
- Click ‘See all profiles’ and be sure that you are on your personal profile.
- Once you are on your personal FB profile click your encircled picture at the top right and click ‘Settings & Privacy’, then click ‘Settings’.
- Look to the far left and click ‘Business Integrations’. (Note, Facebook menu options change often, you may need to click Settings first and then see the Business Integrations option as shown in the video below)
- You should see ‘Your Home Update’ (our old app was called ‘Today’s Home Update’ disregard that for now), the new app that we are focusing on now is ‘Your Home Update’
- Click ‘View and edit’ near ‘Your Home Update’.
- A window will open, use the scroll to go through each section.
- Blue check marks MUST be selected for the FB Page that you want ACES to post to.
- If the blue check marks are NOT marked, please do so and click Save -then go back to ACESocial and reconnect to ACE to FB.
- If the blue check marks are already marked then there must be some other problem. One way to test would be to see if you can make posts to the FB Page in question normally.
- If you are not seeing the page in question listed in this area then that is an indicator that your FB profile is no longer associated with the FB Page, an issue outside the scope of this document. Perhaps not so coincidentally, FB has posted this article on this topic and it might help solve for you.
- Once all blue boxes are checked, return to ACESocial and click any red error messages or Inactive under Facebook to begin the reconnection process – DO NOT ADJUST ANY BLUE MARKS FB PRESENTS TO YOU, you will be returned to ACESocial to select your FB Page for posting.
