Since Facebook moved to Meta Business and the New Pages Experience we’ve heard from some users stating they can no longer connect ACE to a Facebook business Page.
Here is one method to confirm that your Facebook personal Profile has full access to a Facebook Business Page that is not appearing in ACE. Please try these steps using a computer, not a phone or tablet:
- Login to Facebook.com
- Click your circled picture at the top right to be sure you are starting from your Facebook personal Profile.
- Next, click the nine-dot icon to the right of your circled profile picture…
- A menu will open below, look for the word Pages in the menu with an orange flag near it and click it.
- A new page will open; confirm you see your Facebook business Page listed there.
- If you see the FB Page in question click the Page name and you should see a menu at the left with the words Manage Page at the top.
- In that same left menu look down to the bottom left, do you see the word Settings? it may be grayed and ask you to switch to that page to view settings, if so click “Switch”. If you do not see Settings there, there might be a problem. That Settings link gives users access to things like Page Roles and other controls for that FB Page. The fact that you do not see Settings may indicate that you no longer have admin rights.
- If you successfully landed in Settings click “New Pages Experience” A page will open and you should see “Manage and view access”
Perhaps not so coincidentally, FB has posted this article on this topic and it might help solve for you. It seems to be saying that if you lost access to a Page then you should be able to get that access back by requesting access to the Page with those steps. However, it does state “Before you begin – You must add a primary Page before you can request access to another person’s or business’s Page” and the below article has steps on how to add a Primary Page.
