There was a Facebook issue occurring from Friday, February 23, 2024, through the evening of Friday, March 1, 2024. The problem primarily affected new ACE users or those with a disrupted connection to Facebook, preventing them from establishing or reestablishing a connection for automatic posting. Users with stable connections to Facebook experienced no disruptions, and posting proceeded as usual. The issue was successfully resolved on the evening of Friday, March 1, 2024. Users can now connect or reconnect to Facebook as usual.
Here is what you must do to resume automatic posting to Facebook Pages:
Please note, ACE can only post to a Facebook business Page. ACE cannot post to your Facebook personal Profile.
Please do the following steps with a desktop or laptop computer, not a phone or tablet.
- Gather your Facebook username and password, you may need this information in a minute.
- Login into ACE (aka, RISMIedia’s ACESocial) via one of the below options. if you are already logged into ACESocial with a computer go to step 3:
- If you have ACE through your company or affiliation, you may need to log into your member area first and then use the single sign-on link to access ACE.
- Or, if you traditionally access ACE by logging in directly at https://ace.rismedia.com please use the email address and password form. (DO NOT USE the ‘Login with Facebook’ option.) Use the ‘Forgot your password’ at the bottom of that form if needed. Your ACE username is the email address on this email.
- In the ACE menu go to Settings > Social Media Connections and click the word ‘Inactive‘ or the red error message under the Facebook icon and follow the prompts to reconnect. DO NOT MODIFY ANY OF THE BLUE FACEBOOK CHECK MARKS. You will be returned to ACE to confirm the Facebook Page(s) for posting.
- Slide the toggle to select the Facebook Page(s) and click ‘Update’ or ‘Finish’ to save settings.
- Finally, while you are inACE click ‘Dashboard‘. If you see a red error message under LinkedIn or Twitter icons click the red error message and follow the prompts to repair those connections.
