With more than one billion people worldwide using smartphones and tablets, real estate agents and brokers are finding homebuyers and sellers won’t settle for limited mobile websites: they require a full Web experience, regardless of screen size.
Seattle-area based Imprev recently launched a technology breakthrough for the real estate industry that automates creation of consumer-facing “responsive websites” that can be customized by agents and brokers in just minutes.
“Responsive websites will be the new standard for the real estate industry,” says Renwick Congdon, CEO of Imprev. “They deliver a better user experience from all devices—desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones—automatically adjusting to the size of the user’s screen, whether it is 30 inches or 3 inches.”
Imprev technology powers Design Centers and Marketing Centers for leading real estate brands, independent real estate firms and the MLS industry, and is known for bringing new technology to the real estate industry.
“Agents and brokers can give consumers a better mobile experience with greater functionality and without the expense and complexity of developing and maintaining separate mobile websites,” Congdon says.
These sites are easy to read and navigate, while reducing the need to resize, pan and scroll. Imprev will demonstrate its new Single Property Website product – its first marketing product to employ its customizable responsive website technology (sample at www.imprev.com/spw) – to executives attending the annual National Association of REALTORS® Convention, which begins in Orlando on Friday, November 9.
“Anyone who has ever visited a site on his or her iPad, only to be redirected to a mobile site will understand the importance of this new technology,” he adds. “You cannot rely on multiple versions of a site. A site must have built-in logic.”
Single Property Websites allow agents to add as many as 50 property photos and descriptions to the Single Property Website photo gallery. It also features a Google Map interface with street view, local links that can be fully customized (local schools, crime statistics, neighborhood data, etc.), a contact form to capture leads, and a video that can play a promotional or property feature that is also integrated into the site. Traffic statistics and website analytics are included.
Imprev’s independent research confirms the industry’s move toward mobile. This past March, it surveyed top real estate professionals attending the 2012 Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® Conference. Three of the five “most preferred marketing tools they would like to have” were Single Property Websites, iPad Presentation App, and video. A summary of the survey results can be found here.
