Back in December, Oprah Winfrey snapped up a deluxe ski spot in Colorado, but it appears one new property isn’t enough for this media maven. The 62-year-old talk show host recently bought a Southern California property, a Montecito equestrian farm purchased at auction for a staggering $28.5 million.
One of the largest properties in the Montecito area, Seamair Farm is a 23-acre estate with a private drive, posh pool and citrus orchards.
Its main house, a ranch-style unit, has four bedrooms, five bathrooms and four fireplaces stretching out over 4,750 square feet. However, this isn’t the only living unit located on the premises. There is also a manager’s cottage, a horse trainer’s cottage, a stable and barn, paddocks, riding rings and ample room for horse play.
Epic views of the Pacific Ocean, the Santa Ynez Mountains and San Ysidro Creek make the palatial property an even sweeter deal. Privacy is yet another property plus; the eastern side of the estate borders a 44-acre nature preserve, ideal for serenity and recalling those sweeping views.
