If you’re not already watching these hilarious shows, you should set aside a weekend so that you can start binging.
Workin’ Moms
This comedy about life as a new mom going back to work after maternity leave is over celebrates the struggle of being a woman and attempting to have it all. Catherine Reitman uses her real-life experience as a working mom to bring to life the four mothers who find each other and develop supportive friendships through a mommy and baby class.
Kim’s Convenience
What started as a successful Fringe Festival play has been turned into this wonderful sitcom about the life of first-generation Canadians and their Korean immigrant parents who run the local convenience store. It tackles issues of family, growing up, culture clash and immigration in ways that are relatable and hilarious.
Baroness Von Sketch
This sketch show about four women in their 40s has revamped the sketch comedy program format in a serious way. You’ll never think of going to the cottage the same again after you’ve finished binging the first season. The show takes on big ideas about politics, feminism and the ways in which the world treats women as they age.
