The trick to getting things done efficiently often comes down to successful schedule organization. Whether you want to be more productive and get your tasks done easier, or you simply want to boost your efficiency so you can spend more time doing the things you love, these tips are for you.

Start Your Day With Movement
Exercise is verifiably great for your body, but it’s also an amazing technique to get your mind focused and grounded for the day. Healthy movement can stabilize your energy, mitigate anxiety and make your day more productive, which makes it perfect to schedule for the morning. Shoot for 30-60 minutes to get a great exercise regime, but remember that even 10 minutes can do wonders.

Schedule Prep Time
Some professionals have prep time built into their schedules already, but every person could take a page from their book. Prep time is vital to ensure the day’s tasks are organized according to importance. Take half an hour each day to make your to-do list and list what will need to be done to accomplish those tasks. Strategic planning will make your day far more smooth and you will make up for that half-hour in productivity throughout the day.

Eliminate Some Scheduled Tasks
Productive and successful people know when to say no. Every task requires some form of investment and the most successful people understand when their bandwidth is getting limited. Eliminate some items from your schedule each day. This is a great exercise in prioritizing, delegating, and saying no. Don’t forget to assess what tasks can be automated in this process.

Find a “Prefered Day” for Appointments
Having 3 appointments in a week can put a hitch in your flow. Instead, find a preferred day for appointments. Scheduling your appointments together whenever possible can allow you to map out your week more easily. This allows you to dive into a project each day without being interrupted by an appointment halfway through the day.
