Lamacchia Realty has announced that it has acquired Stone Ridge Properties of Newburyport and Amesbury, Massachusetts. Stone Ridge Properties, with over 30 years in business, is owned by Cathy Toomey, Celine Muldowney, Erica Puorro, Marc Ouellet, Nick Motsis, and Sandy Berkenbush, and has more than 33 agents specializing in Greater Newburyport, Massachusetts, Southern New Hampshire and Southern Maine, with a strong presence on New Hampshire’s Seacoast.

Lamacchia Realty noted the company has transacted over $150 million in sales volume in the last year and has an active luxury division.

Lamacchia Realty Founder, CEO and Broker Anthony Lamacchia and Chief Operating Officer Jackie Louh look forward to expanding to the Greater Newburyport market with a well-respected brokerage and its top-tier REALTORS®, they said.

“I’m extremely excited to finally substantially grow our presence on the North Shore, and up the New England coast,” Lamacchia said. “This merger will also add significantly to our luxury sales. The owners of Stone Ridge Properties have created a tremendous company that happens to be a seamless cultural fit for us. There is no doubt that bringing our two companies together makes us all stronger and that is so exciting. We are looking forward to great success as we join forces.”

“Many of us owners have spent our entire careers with Stone Ridge Properties, and we are all incredibly proud of that,” said Nick Motsis, co-owner of Stone Ridge Properties. “With the rapidly changing landscape of business today and the clear direction it is heading in the future, partnering with Lamacchia felt like a natural fit and something we wanted to be a part of. This merger of two exceptional companies is extremely exciting and will greatly benefit both our agents and clients in a big way.”

A release noted Stone Ridge Properties’ expertise in the local real estate market, adding that local knowledge, coupled with a strong understanding of market trends, as well as a stellar reputation of collectively doing business with honesty, integrity and professionalism, has driven the company’s success since 1990.

Lamacchia added that many Stone Ridge agents specialize in luxury sales, which will benefit from the company’s luxury brand, Lamacchia Luxury, both within the company and its extension to a worldwide audience through Leading Real Estate Companies of the World.

“I am excited to welcome Stone Ridge Properties into the Lamacchia family. Stone Ridge is a well-known and respected company that is run by a fantastic group of leaders,” said Louh. “The owners have built an incredible company whose culture and beliefs align with our long-term goals. This merger enables us to further expand our reach in the North Shore and the New Hampshire Seacoast. I’m really looking forward to our continued success together.”

The Stone Ridge acquisition marks Lamacchia Realty’s 10th acquisition in Massachusetts in the past 16 months, the company reports, with the two most recent  acquisitions in Shrewsbury with Thrive Real Estate and Pittsfield with Home Sweet Home Real Estate, as well as others this year, including in Dalton with Berkshire Dream Home, Easton with Briarwood Real Estate, Auburn with Emerson REALTORS, Springfield with Sears Real Estate, Falmouth with Foley Real Estate, Fall River with Right Choice Real Estate, and Seekonk with Keystone Property Group.
