Spring is a time for cleaning. You’re probably tackling your home, your car, your closet…why not include your brain, too?

The first quarter felt like a blur. Take some time to reset before Q2 gets into full swing. Consider it spring cleaning for your brain—we could all use some self-care to keep the saw sharp!

You’ll want to start in your mind. Take some time for a little springtime introspection. When you change your thoughts, you change your life. Clear up your negative thoughts and take these small steps to reset your mind, so you can embrace the months ahead.

  1. Commit to a Never-Give-Up Attitude
It’s easy to abandon a dream when it seems distant or difficult to achieve. Keep your eyes on the prize, and persevere even when the going gets tough. This mindset helps you stay positive as you get closer to making your dreams a reality.
  1. Act on Your Goals
Instead of keeping your goals dormant on paper, bring them to life with an action plan. You’ll feel re-energized when you have a plan of attack for achieving even your loftiest goals. Use the rest of the year to carry out that plan, and reap the rewards by the time December rolls around.
  1. Celebrate Your Wins
When you reset, take time to acknowledge all that you achieved so far in 2019. Looking back on your wins adds valuable perspective on where you are at now in your life and business, and where you plan to go in the months ahead.
  1. Surround Yourself With Like-Minded People
Who we hang out with affects more than we realize. When you keep positive, driven people in your inner circle, they will encourage you to go above and beyond in your own pursuits. It’s a reset for your brain and for your soul.
  1. Create Space for Reflection
Reflecting on the past and analyzing what worked and what didn’t is an important part of growth. We cannot learn from the past by ignoring it. If you experience a loss, examine what went well and what did not, then use that to grow into your next opportunity.

If you need a little help resetting your mind, find positive books, media and podcasts to help get you started. The Brian Buffini Show is one inspirational podcast working to explore success and the mindsets, motivation and methodologies that go along with it.

You aren’t alone! Take the reset you deserve this quarter by showing your brain some love.
